At the 50th Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2022, Compass Bros Records is set to revive its Compass Bros House Concert - a multi artist bill that was first staged in 2008 - with its current roster of artists - Cass Hopetoun, Hurricane Fall, Raechel Whitchurch, Camille Trail and Blake Dantier along with special surprise guests.

The 2008 line up featured Adam Brand, The Sunny Cowgirls, James Blundell, Peter Denahy, Kirsty Lee Akers, Dianna Corcoran, Rob Black & Talia Whitman and was recorded for a CD and DVD – take a look >> here.

The 2022 event is a great opportunity for fans to preview the New Talent of the Year category of the 2022 Golden Guitar Awards as Hopetoun, Whitchurch & Trail are three of the five finalists in that category.

“Since our inception in 2000 Compass Bros has fostered a collaborative philosophy among its artists.” Says the label’s founder and managing director Graham Thompson. “This has been reflected over the years in the studio and on the road with multi-artist touring bills. With Adam Brand’s early success, we took the entire roster on the road – kind of our own touring mini festival. It provided our up-and-coming artists with opportunities that they may not have otherwise had, Adam’s name looked good at the top of the banner, and they were great shows. The initial Compass Bros House Concert, filmed in a warehouse in Sydney’s Redfern, was an extension of that philosophy and it’s something were excited about continuing with the current roster.”

The Compass Bros House Concert 2022 event will take place at the 50th Tamworth Country Music Festival at Wests Leagues Event Centre midday Thursday 20 January.
