SBS, The Australian Government and aMBUSH Gallery have once again come together to produce the second annual Harmony Art Collective project and exhibition, as part of Harmony Day 2018.

It is an innovative national project about celebrating the creativity of young Australians around the country. After a successful first year, the project has returned in 2018 with another inspiring exhibition.

Hundreds of young people, including many newly arrived migrants and Indigenous Australians, participated in workshops in different towns across Australia, facilitated by four internationally acclaimed Australian artists who were selected as art ambassadors and role models for this project.

These artists are Luke Cornish (aka E.L.K), illustrator Georgia Hill, urban cartoonist Jeremyville, and mural artist Fintan Magee. Supported by SBS, aMBUSH Gallery and the Australian Government, the four creatives collaborated with youth in workshops around Australia, bring young people together to celebrate cultural diversity, creativity and belonging.

Some of the young people involved travelled to Sydney for the exhibition's official launch, where we were able to hear first hand the positive experiences they had gained from being able to engage with their creative side in a supportive environment and through the task of creating collaborative artworks.

The artworks they created are now on public display outdoors in Darling Quarter, Sydney. Don't miss this special celebration of multicultural Australia.
