Liquēre is a solo exhibition by photographer Danny Eastwood currently on display at the Black Eye Gallery, Darlinghurst. It consists of 16 large scale photographs, which unveil nude male and female bodies submerged in water. In this exhibition, Eastwood tastefully displays nude human bodies elegantly sustained in motion surrounded by fluids and mind-blowing reflections.

Backs and shoulders play the biggest role in the photographs, while the rest of the each body is immersed in clear fluids, subtly covered by reflections and the movements of water. Here is a refreshingly authentic celebration of intimate, empowering, sensitive and erotic sensuality. In this case, the lines of graceful female backs, small ribs and beautiful hip curves artfully submerged in the water create an elegant and sophisticated look while strong and muscular male backs with broad shoulders characterise the strength and health of masculinity.

Photographing backs of objects and even human beings can be considered as a subtle yet provocative move in arts. But is it this art that is subtle or more provocative? And that is a curious point that I couldn’t answer to. I believe it’s left for individual’s personal feelings and associations to decide.

Like one of Danny’s friends mentioned at the exhibition's opening, the artist is completely naked when he puts up his work for everyone to love or hate, enjoy or criticise, praise or judge his art work. And while everyone is fully clothed viewing Danny’s masterpieces exhibited for public, the only Danny is "naked" today showing his work at the Black Eye Gallery until the 5th of March.
