Moonlight Cinema Under The Stars

Moonlight Cinema is on again in Sydney from 11th December until 29th March at the Belvedere Amphitheatre Centennial Park.

At the Sydney launch, I caught up with Moonlight Cinema Director, Ian Sutherland.

"“The program is packed with exciting new releases and exclusive advance screenings, as well as some memorable classics that should only ever be watched on the big screen."

When I asked him if he had a favourite movie this season Sutherland replied that that's a bit like asking someone to name a favourite child.

The Sydney summer season starts with favourite dimwits, Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne returning twenty years after their first adventure for the Dumb and Dumber To advanced screening for the 2015 Moonlight Cinema Sydney Opening Night.

Moonlight Cinema advanced screenings also span Birdman, The Gambler, The Imitation Game, Foxcatcher, Unbroken and The Theory of Everything. The season also includes Into The Woods, The Hundred Foot Journey, Guardians of The Galaxy, Dirty Dancing, Top Gun, The Maze Runner, The Best of Me, Interstellar, Gone Girl and more.

As always, Moonlight Cinema’s Gold Grass offers the ultimate outdoor cinema experience; the perfect treat for someone special in your life. With reserved bean beds in a premium viewing location and wait service, you won’t even have to get up from your bean bed!

Also returning this season will be the ever-popular Doggie Nights for film-loving pooches and their humans to catch a movie together, as well as everyone’s favourite cult classic nights and special themed screenings.

Catching a flick on the big screen under the stars is a quintessential Sydney summer experience.
