The Sexual Happiness People at Lovehoney have announced a new gallery exhibition coming to Sydney this month. Working with ten local artists, Lovehoney is creating a pop-up Museum of Erotic Art across a two day period, taking up residency at Chin Chin Sydney.

Launching on 30 November, the Lovehoney Museum of Erotic Art boasts a unique dine-in gallery experience. Tickets are priced at $80 per head, which includes gallery access, a three-course menu and drinks package.

All artworks exhibited will be auctioned off, with all proceeds, plus ticket sales, being donated to the artists’ selected causes.

To build the Museum of Erotic Art Lovehoney commissioned artworks from nine of the artists, with pieces centering on the magic of sexual happiness and expression. While artist, Kim Leutwyler, has donated an existing piece to be included in the gallery that represents what sexual expression means to them.

As the season of giving approaches, Lovehoney has asked each artist to nominate a cause or charity, and will be auctioning off the pieces with proceeds from each artwork’s sale going to the respective artists’ cause. The charity auction will be hosted online and commence from the gallery launch date on the 30 November, with bidding concluding on the 15 December. All ticket sales will also be evenly split and donated to the nominated causes.

The exhibiting artists and their nominated causes/ charities are:

Bianca Beers White Ribbon

Shani Finch Support Act

Christine Yahya (Pink Bits) Black Rainbow

Ailie Banks The Scarlet Alliance

Jeff McCann Chloe’s Gender Affirmation Journey

Helena Elias Women’s Community Shelters

Mikka Hendra White Ribbon

Erika Owens MINUS18

Kim Leutwyler UNHCR

Christina Cerqueira National Breast Cancer Foundation

“We want to add a little extra magic and sparkle to the festive season and we believe following lengthy lockdowns across Australia, a pop-up museum that provides Aussies with a unique experience does just that" Lovehoney’s Australian Director, Rob Godwin said.

“Sexual expression is an artform in itself, so what better way to showcase this than by exhibiting what it means to various people in different artistic mediums. Plus, it’s all for a good cause! We’ll be auctioning off the artworks and donating the proceeds, plus ticket sales, to causes and organisations close to our artists’ hearts - just in time for the giving season."
