This heartwarming tale written by Catherine Johnson transports us to a world of love, laughter, and friendship. Set on a Greek island, the story revolves around a young bride-to-be, Sophie, who embarks on a quest to uncover the identity of her father, bringing three men from her mother's past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago. It's a tale that touches the heart and reminds us of the enduring power of love and family.

The Australian production boasts an incredible cast, led by the talented Elise McCann in the role of Donna Sheridan, the mother-of-the-bride. Elise, renowned for her portrayal of Miss Honey in the Australian production of Matilda The Musical, brings her remarkable theatre experience to the stage, captivating audiences and earning her a Helpmann Award. Alongside Elise, emerging young actor Sarah Krndija shines as Donna's daughter and bride-to-be, Sophie. Sarah's impressive performances in shows like "9 to 5 The Musical," "Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical," and "Friends The Musical Parody" showcase her immense talent. These leading ladies have powerhouse voices that bring the story to life, and allow audiences to share in their joy, pain and awakening.

The supporting cast is equally outstanding, with Bianca Bruce dazzling as Donna's vivacious friend Rosie, and Deone Zanotto bringing her zest and sassy energy to the role of Tanya. Martin Crewes, a stage and screen award-winning actor, delivers a stellar performance as Sam Carmichael, one of Sophie's unsuspecting fathers. The cast also includes Drew Livingston as Harry Bright and Tim Wright as Bill Austin, rounding out the trio of potential fathers in this touching story. Under the expert direction of Gary Young and the creative team, this re-staging of the critically acclaimed 2017 production brings a fresh and invigorating energy to the stage while simultaneously capturing the archaic dreaminess of the Greek islands where our tale is set.   The way the songs are interwoven into the storyline is seamless and the energy onstage is infectious.
