MANE is a singer songwriter from Adelaide, and on Thursday night she performed at the Brighton Up Bar for the launch of her new single “What if the Love Dies”.

Cutting an impressive image on stage dressed in black with crow feathers adorning her shoulders, her strong, entrancing vocals had similarly dark stylings. A moderate crowd had formed for the show, and those present were soon up and grooving along to her spellbinding sounds.

Backed up by a guitarist and drummer who played a tight set. They accompanied her spot on, they knew when to kick in, but never took over from her powerful yet haunting vocals. She put on a great and very confident performance which definitely showcased her talent on the night.

MANE may just be starting out, but judging from her performance on the night, she can hold her own with other strong Australian female lead singers such as Vera Blue or Lisa Mitchell. An artist with beautiful, dark and distinctive vocals of the goth variety, that I would definitely recommend checking out.

“What If the Love Dies” is out now on streaming services and digital formats.
