Australian National Maritime Museum

As a nation where about 90% of the population lives coastally, it makes sense that Australia would have a colourful maritime history to learn about. The Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour has not only an impressive conventional collection of maritime history, but also numerous vessels that can be explored by the public. Their vessels include a replica of Captain Cook’s famous ship, the Endeavour, a destroyer and a submarine, plus a few others. A standard ticket will get you access to the land-based museum, while exploring the vessels costs a bit extra. The museum also runs various art exhibitions throughout the year.
