Calling the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi a ‘pub’ is perhaps the understatement of the century. The place is enormous. The downstairs bar is a meeting place for thousands of people from all walks of life every week but its the band room upstairs which might be one of the most underrated in Sydney. That’s not to say people don’t go there, it’s just not really what the place is known for. Right? With a capacity of around 800 it is a pit stop for many nationally touring bands with big headliners most weekends. Hungry? There are food specials every night of the week and you can even watch the footy in their massive sports bar. Something for everyone.
