Surrounded by takeaway joints and tourist haunts, Grand Duk is a breath of fresh air offering a thoughtful menu of modern Vietnamese fare at the harbour end of the CBD.

Designed to eat in or takeaway, breakfast includes western favourites and Vietnamese classics alike, with the lunch menu consisting of hearty bahn mi for a new era, plumped up with fillings like duck meatballs and pork belly.

Generous and colourful bowls of salad and rice paper rolls will appeal to clean eaters, while seafood mains, steak and burgers appease the rest. If you can’t choose just one dish then there is plenty worth sharing and if there’s room for dessert, a Vietffogato – Grand Duk roast coffee drip filtered over vanilla bean gelato – will go down a treat.
