K’nödel European Dumplings is a small bright contemporary space in Surry Hills open for lunch and dinner with European dumplings from Eastern Europe as well as a modern take on traditional cuisines.

The eight k’nödel that lead the menu are $10.50 - $13.50 so this is a great European cheap eats starting with Spinach K’nödel with Parmesan and butter. There's also Pistachio with mushroom ragout heading the list so good options for vegetarians. But how does Fingerk’nödel with pulled pork sound? Or House K’nödel with Beef Goulash. Also on the K’nödel menu Cheese pirohy with crispy bacon, onion and crème fraiche.

Sweet endings keep the k’nödel happening, with Fruit k’nödel with sugar crumbs and sauce anglaise, Mozart k’nödel with crushed pistachio and ice cream, and Germ (yeast) k’nödel with burnt butter and poppy seed. And there's more than just k’nödel for dessert. The new Surry Hills eatery also offers Heisse leibe (HOT LOVE) vanilla ice cream, macadamia brittle and hot rasperries. Or Battered apple rings with cinnamon sugar and ice cream. Yet what would an Eastern European restaurant be without the most famous Eastern European dessert at all. And yes the chocolate Sacher Torte completes the menu.
