Osteria Coogee brings a delicious family style Italian wine bar and restaurant experience to the locals of Coogee, just a few minutes back from the beach. It is the first solo venture from Chef Regan Porteous (from Parlour Group venues including Toko, Riley St Garage, Stanton & Co) and partner and General Manager Carolina Angelucci.
The concept is inspired by their time in Italy and the significance of food in gatherings of friends and family. Fittingly, the menu is designed to share and includes some old traditional family recipes (such as the tiramisu) as well as some modern Australian touches. Try sirloin Carpaccio, Peperone stuffed pepper with gremolata, a decadent porcini and truffle Gnocchi or the Sunday roast special Porchetta - before it sells out each Sunday!
From 5pm - 7pm Wednesday to Sunday enjoy aperitivo hour with a $10 Aperol Spritz, Americano or Italicus cocktail, perhaps on the breezy balcony that overlooks Coogee Oval.
