Ramblin' Rascal Tavern

Editor's Pick

Hidden down a staircase under three white skulls near the corner of Elizabeth and Park street, Ramblin' Rascal Tavern has a hotpotch look of a humble aging pub cheekily offset by some dive bar kitch and booze iconography. And a decent enough space to be a real haven in the crowded CBD bar scene for a fun drink, yet where you can still move and hear yourself speak.

Wanting to carve out its niche, Ramblin' Rascal Tavern specialises in making cognac fresh and accessible, with a creative cognac-based cocktail list to fit every palate, that changes every three months. Beers are mostly crafts, but they have a cheeky 'Shit Tinnie' crate for straight up beer.

To round it off, you can stave off the hangover and order hand delivered Mary's Burgers from their city branch direct at the bar.
