Amaro Montenegro and Capriccio Osteria are pairing up to demonstrate why Italians live a longer life on Thursday, 31 May. It appears the secret to livin' la dolce vita is to add a splash of bitterness.

Hosted on-site at Leichhardt's favourite Osteria - Capriccio Osteria & Bar, this special Partner Dinner Event is all about exploring and pushing your flavour palette.

"Designing the menu for this event pushed my creative limits as I had to think about what flavours and textures I could highlight, complement via the sharp and bitter notes of the Amaro," says Nicole Bampton, Head Chef at Capriccio Osteria.

Each course of the 4-course dinner will have a unique Amaro Montenegro cocktail pairing. This alone is quite unusual as the Italian liqueur has long been associated with being a digestif, especially good for healing stomach ailments.

Amaro Montenegro is a traditional amaro distilled in Bologna, Italy. It is made from a secret blend of 40 botanicals, including vanilla and orange peels. The Amaro was first produced by Stanislao Cobianchi in 1885, named after Princess Elena of Montenegro.
