Online publication Feature Shoot is proud to bring its international project The Print Swap to Black Eye Gallery in Sydney. Artists from around the globe have submitted their images, and Feature Shoot Editor-in-Chief Alison Zavos and Black Eye Gallery Director and Photographer Tom Evangelidis carefully curated this collection, drawn together under the title Ambient Landscapes. For the first time, the public will be able to purchase and collect these extraordinary images.

The photographers exhibiting in The Print Swap presents: Ambient Landscapes capture both the beauty and the fragility of our planet's landscape. Hailing from regions far and wide, they’re mapping a new world, one that is defined by constant flux and change. From Andreas Godwin’s surreal Square, featuring a mysterious manmade object superimposed over an otherwise normal Swedish landscape, to Ellen Jantzen’s Amplification, in which the artist has digitally manipulated the mountains of New Mexico, these images push and pull at the boundaries of what it means to make a “landscape photograph” in 2017.

Ambient Landscapes includes more traditional, picturesque photographs, but they too contain movement. Chiara Zonca captures the ancient terrain of Lanzarote, while remaining cognizant of the passage of time. In her own words, the artist seeks “specific moments in time when changeable light or weather conditions alter her landscape perception.” Similarly, Homer Liwag watches a storm approaching— but not yet hitting— Red Rock Canyon. Tom Sullam photographs the living texture of Zabriskie Point in countless shades of black and white.
