Ásgeir

For a country with a population less than 400,000 people, Iceland seems to have more than its fair share of musical talent. One of the country's shining lights on the international music scene is Ásgeir. The mononymic singer is bringing his gentle and tender style of folk-rock to Australia in July for the annual Splendour in the Grass music festival and a string of headline shows across the country.

Preceded by the gorgeous single "Stardust," Ásgeir's upcoming album Afterglow promises to deliver more of the intimate and heartfelt songcraft for which he is known. You can catch him at Sydney's Enmore Theatre, where he will be joined by Gordi and her twinkling indie pop tunes.
