Chico Cristobal's work uses the harsh lines of geometry to guide the eye in unexpected and striking ways. He explains "I play with the juxtaposition of geometry and the idea of the golden ratio and true beauty." At once both aesthetically-minded and intensely personal, his use of composition and colour is deeply absorbing, as well as having a clear sense of enjoyment and exploration.
His latest exhibition, Geometricity is showing at Annandale's Tetch Gallery from September 19th to 24th. Contemporary art enthusiasts should not miss this bold collection during its brief time on show.
