A decade on since being thrust into the spotlight with her world-conquering hit '1234', Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Feist finally takes the Concert Hall stage this December – a revelatory return celebrating her fifth album, Pleasure.
Possessing a nomadic, ever-evolving spirit with echoes of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and fellow Canadian Leonard Cohen, Feist's recent six year sabbatical saw her side-step any pop traps set by the immense success of The Reminder and Metals. Now stripping her songwriting back to the raw essence behind her towering live performances, the 41-year-old swings between whispers and wails, from luminous ballads to the unhinged guitars also heard in her work with Broken Social Scene.
Covered by Opera House alumni Bon Iver and most famously James Blake with his breakthrough rendition of 'Limit to Your Love', Feist will now make her own Concert Hall debut with a full band drawing from five timeless albums.
Sydney Opera House presents by arrangement with Laneway Presents and Chugg Entertainment.
