The Learning Links SCRABBLE® challenge is a fundraising to help improve literacy and numeracy for disadvantaged children with learning disabilities and difficulties. There is currently very little government funding available for children who suffer from learning difficulties such as dyslexia and ADHD which can have a huge long term impact if specialised intervention is not provided. Teams will go head to head on the scrabble board to take out the prestigious “SCRABBLE® Challenge Cup”. It will be a night of fun and brainpower mixed with a delicious roving dinner and unlimited beverages while you play. You will play 2 games of scrabble throughout the night.
Background on Learning Links
Learning Links works with children who have learning disabilities and learning difficulties, especially those who suffer socio-economic disadvantage, to help them with the skills, services and family support to help them reach their full potential. These include children with conditions such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism, fine and gross motor delays, speech and language delays. This can impact their ability to complete education, find employment, participate in the community and live fulfilling lives.
