What happens if the place you call home vanishes beneath your feet? The world you once knew, now gone. “Home” is unfamiliar, strange.
PACT will present the latest show in their AFTERGLOW season when Home, an original new Australian play by Janie Gibson and the Tantrum Trajectory Ensemble, arrives on their stage from October 4th to 7th.
A dynamic new work developed with the Newcastle-based theatre company Tantrum Youth Arts and their Trajectory Ensemble, Home weaves a sea of stories from original poetry, found texts, songs, myths and music in a personal exploration of what it means to feel at home – in the world, in your country, in your suburb, in yourself.
Co-creator Janie Gibson, an alumni of PACT's contemporary performance training program, takes the reigns on this emotive production, directing a diverse cast and employing the techniques she gained from five years of working overseas with international theatre companies Song of the Goat (Poland) and Shakespeare & Company (USA), among many others.
