Milk Crate Theatre has announced their latest production, That’s The Spirit, to be staged in June, delving into issues of depression and mental health using the company’s contemporary Forum Theatre format to showcase authentic stories with their energetic cast.
Milk Crate Theatre use performance to change the story of homelessness and this feature theatre work for 2017 is the result of a collaborative 10-week workshop with a cast ranging in age from 24 to over 50.
The show will be a multidisciplinary staged production that draws on a range of individual stories woven into the overarching theme of depression.
That’s The Spirit delves into one of the world’s most prevalent health issues to investigate how to recognise, support and work with people who may be experiencing mood disorders or depression and find positive pathways.
