Noel Sydney the free evening festival that has transormed the historic buildings of Macquarie Street Sydney with captivating Christmas-themed projections and lights leading to the Royal Botanic Garden, commenced last night and will continue until Christmas Eve.

Noël Light Trail: On Macquarie Street, Hyde Park Barracks will lead the way with stunning projections of reimagined scenes from Christmas classic The Nutcracker, while the State Library, Sydney Hospital and the Mint will dazzle with their own festive illuminations. The Conservatorium of Music will be transformed into a ‘Sweet Palace’, where characters from the Nutcracker will usher guests through to the Digital Christmas Forest and Noël Christmas Market.
Digital Christmas Forest: A magical forest compromised of giant digital Christmas trees will light up the Royal Botanic Gardens, where guests can shop for Christmas gifts and delicacies from Noël Christmas Markets or tune into nightly entertainment, including community choirs singing carols. There will also be two entertainment shows, Noël Christmas Variety Show catered for families, and Noël Garden Grooves featuring Christmas cocktails and live tunes. Noël Christmas Markets: This will be the first-ever Christmas markets held at the Royal Botanic Gardens. Inspired by the most iconic markets around the world, Noël Christmas Markets features a curated line up of 40 Australian stalls. Many stalls support Buy from the Bush movement, with NSW regional producers and artisans from flood-affected areas.
Noël Christmas Skyshow: Over Farm Cove, hundreds of drones will perform a mesmerising Noël Christmas Skyshow from December 16 - 24. There will be two shows each night – 8:15pm and 10pm.
