Anything home baked and handmade has always been an ingrained, first-line response to any hardship in our culture and it makes sense to raise awareness in such a heartfelt way with the Australian Red Cross Big Cake Bake. Please get involved any way you can, anyone of us would dread to think where we might be without the incredible work of our Red Cross”

Maggie Beer- Big Cake Bake Ambassador 2015

Big Cake Bake is a delicious way to raise funds for Red Cross and help bake the world a better place. Taking part is easy and anyone can join in. Friends, family or colleagues can join together to bake their favourite cake, slice, pie, cookie, cupcake, savoury dish or dessert. It’s all for a good cause, lots of fun and absolutely guilt free! Events can include a morning or afternoon tea, cake sale, baking or cake decorating competition.

For 2015 the Big Cake Bake Ambassadors are at the forefront of Australian cuisine with legends Maggie Beer, Stefano Manfredi and Pamela Clark leading the pack.

Maggie is an Australian legend. A cook, food author, television presenter, restaurateur and food manufacturer she established the Maggie Beer Foundation in 2014 with one purpose - to improve the food experience for everyone in aged care.

Her cake of choice: Verjuice Birthday Cake
