Breakfast With A View

Way back when as an itsy bitsy lass I did a stint backstage at the Sydney Opera House. Every day on my way to work as I walked along the lower concourse I would look out at THAT view. The view that sweeps in the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Luna Park and of course the Sydney Opera House. THAT walk along the lower concourse made me pinch my cheeks every day and think how lucky I was to work at such an iconic venue with such an amazing history and magnificent view. Right on THAT spot where I pinched my cheeks daily, a new café is opening for breakfast from tomorrow. Opera Bar has added the 7am to midday shift of Opera Bar Café to its performance repertoire.

With its harbour-side location and unbeatable views, Opera Bar Café is set to be the ultimate spot for an eat-in (with 100 seats) or take-away breakfasts that include a selection of delicious daily-made baked goods including muffins, croissants and bagels. Cold items include quinoa bircher with coconut and berries or fruit salad with sheep’s milk yoghurt, as well as protein hits of cacao balls and house made muesli bars. For something more substantial, the bagels come with a tempting fillings including smoked trout and cream cheese or tomato, basil and cream cheese, a selection of toast topped with either fig, goat’s curd, mint and walnuts or smashed avocado and tomato, and a wide variety of freshly made juices.

Now you can pinch your cheeks when you are feeling so lucky to be having such a great breakfast. With a view.
