DIY Bondi Breakfasts

For three years we've partied hard at (what used to be) the Bondi Hardware store. And we recently celebrated the bar's third birthday with good cocktails and good company.

But now, Bondi Hardware is stepping back to the original purpose of the store- DIY.

This time the DIY isn't about spanners and screw drivers and home renovations, it's about building a breakfast.

Bondi Hardware DIY Breakfast of 2 x Free Range eggs on Luxe Sour Dough ($11) kicks off this Saturday.

Step 1

How do you like your eggs? Poached, Scrambled OR Fried

Step 2

Choose your share sides for the table

- Free range black forest bacon

- Smoked Huon river salmon

- Spanish chorizo

- House baked organic beans

- Blanched baby kale

- Sweet potato hash

- Avocado smash

- Fetta

- Roast field mushrooms

- Slow-roasted tomatoes

- Hollandaise

Sides at $4.50 are designed to be shared by the table but can be consumed by 1 hungry punter.

Step 3

Lick you plate clean

Once you've done that, you can either

a) go for a stroll around Bondi
b) go home and take a nanna nap
c) get back to the home renovations

The full Bondi Hardware brunch menu includes savoury and sweet: Poached salmon and cucumber salad with 2 x poached free range eggs & a lemon and dill dressing ($18), Classic beef & cheese sliders with pickles & tomato relish ($4 for 20), Hardware granola, coconut quinoa, poached seasonal fruit & yoghurt ($16), Banana and coconut bread with dark agave yoghurt & passionfruit ($17).
