Free Two Day Coogee Food & Wine Festival

Building on the success of the last four years, Taste of Coogee Food and Wine Festival returns in 2016, for the first time as a two-day jam-packed event.

Moving to Coogee Oval, a larger venue, the event will feature celebrity chefs Justin North (Hotel Centennial), Andy Allen (Three Blue Ducks and MasterChef winner 2012), Monte Koludrovic (Icebergs) and Mindy Woods (ex-MasterChef), to name a few. 

The free event, held on Saturday 3 September (10am to 6pm) and Sunday 4 September (10am to 6pm), is expected to attract well over 40,000 people, with over 100 stalls dishing out some incredible food and beverages from Australia and beyond.  

All proceeds from Taste of Coogee 2016 will be donated to Coogee Lions, raising money to help local families in need. 

This year’s highlights include: 

• Book a masterclass ($35pp) with Justin North (Hotel Centennial), Andy Allen (Three Blue Ducks and MasterChef winner 2012), Monte Koludrovic (Icebergs), Young Henrys or The Shuck Truck, hosted by Mindy Woods (ex-MasterChef).

• Get a taste of some of the best eats from local favourites Little Jack Horner, Poke, Sofrito, La Spiaggia and Coogee Pavilion.

• Sample one of the many award winning beers and wines from Young Henrys, Sydney Brewery, James Estate Wines, Brokenwood, Petersons Champagne House, Geisen and Twisted River Wines, to name a few.

• The chance to experience a sample from ex MasterChef contestant, Mindy Woods’ soon to be launched container kitchen. This pop-up container restaurant, will serve up a delicious plant based, seasonal and sustainable Mexican menu.

• Sample various types of oysters from The Shuck Truck, washed down with some matched sparkling wine • Enjoy a treat for the eyes and the taste buds from mixologist and bartender, Jason Crawley.

• The opportunity to experience the Festival as a VIP in the newly introduced VIP space

• Groove along to an impressive line-up of music acts. American rock band, with hits such as I’m a Believer and Daydream Believer, The Monkees tribute band ‘Monkee Mania' will play, as well as Martini Club, and John Field Band.
