Over 8,000 Georges River residents and visitors are expected for the one-day food and culture In Good Taste Festival this year.

The 2023 In Good Taste Festival will be sprinkled with a multicultural flavour, celebrating food from around the globe at Hurstville on the afternoon and evening of Friday 10 February, from 4pm to 10pm. The six-hour, foodie-enthusiast event will see a boiling pot of cuisines from around the world and representing the diverse cultures of the Hurstville area in a multicultural night market on MacMahon Street. The 40 food stalls will include Malaysian, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Lebanese, German, Austrian, Turkish, and Spanish fares. Are you hungry already?

While the focus of In Good Taste Festival is celebrating our diversity through eating, there will also be a different celebration of food through art. The festival's free Pantry Pigments art workshop at Hurstville Museum & Gallery with artist Matt Huan (of the current Dragon’s Lair Gallery exhibition) will guide participants to paint with every-day food products including coffee, sauces, spices, dressings, fruit juices and more.

Adding to the special Hurstville one-day event will be roving cultural entertainment and a temporary exhibition of community stories will also be featured throughout the event space. The community stories will reflect cultural connections to food, showcasing the various ethnicities that make up the cultural tapestry of the Georges River local government area.
