The Rusty Rabbit based in St. Leonards is dishing out delicious breakfast and lunch dishes ranging from Pancakes to Burgers and Salads paired with an extensive beverage menu to suit your very needs.

With the Rusty Rabbit’s outdoor seating, it is very pet friendly as dogs can relax in the sun while their owners dine at the establishment.

As it was my first time here, I opted for the Grilled Salmon dish which is accompanied by a Nicoise Salad which contains dressed Salad Greens, Boiled Eggs, Boiled Potatoes, Green Beans, Olive and Tomatoes. The Nicoise Salad was definitely a textural salad with the range of ingredients incorporated into it. The Grilled Salmon was cooked perfectly with tender flesh and a crispy skin. I could not help but save the Crispy Salmon Skin for last as I wanted to savour it.

The Southern Fried Chicken Burger that my friend Erin ordered was by far one of the BEST Fried Chicken Burgers she ever had as the Southern Fried Chicken was so crispy from the dredge used to coat the chicken. The Southern Fried Chicken is sandwiched in soft, fluffy Milk Buns with Oak Lettuce and Tomato for that fresh element and a Chilli Aioli has been added to the burger for that creaminess and bit of spice needed to excite the taste buds even more. The Chips that came with the Burger looked crispy and were seasoned well with a good amount of salt.

The Sticky Date Pancakes just ended the brunch on a great note as the pancakes were fluffy and light. When this dessert arrives to the table, the Sticky Date Pancakes are drenched in a Butterscotch Sauce which is absolutely amazing if I must say. These Sticky Date Pancakes are also topped with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream with Fresh Sliced Strawberries and a crunchy Pistachio Praline.
