Zambo LuMi Special Event

2nd Nov 2016

Sydney get excited as two of our best young Italian talent come together again to cook together for the first time in six years.

Matteo Zamboni, chef and owner at Zambo restaurant and Federico Zanellato, chef and owner at Lumi Dining are joining forces for a very special collaboration dinner on Tuesday November 22nd at Zambo Restaurant. These two talented chefs and friends will be back in the kitchen for an exclusive dinner experience.

We caught up with host Matteo to learn more about this cooking collaboration and friendship.

"Federico and I have known each other for over 10 years. We first met in Rome while we were both working at the 3 Michelin stars restaurant La Pergola in Rome.

Since then, we have started a genuine friendship, sharing the passion for food and the culinary world in general, always looking for the best place to eat and the best possible produce to get inspired from.

About 2 years after we met, we worked together at RyuGyn in Tokyo where we both did a 2 month stage at the 3 Michelin stars restaurant.

Soon after our Japanese working experience, we both moved to Sydney and once again we worked together at Ormeggio at the Spit. Before becoming both, fathers and restaurateurs, we also shared the passion for surfing. Unfortunately, we don’t have that much free time anymore to cultivate this fun hobby together.

Federico and I are excited to do a one-time only event. This is conceived to be a collaboration dinner between Zambo and Lumi, to be hosted by Zambo Restaurant on Tuesday 22nd of November.

We are planning on doing a 6 course degustation for $95pp including snacks and bread. Matching wine will be available at $65pp.

It is filling up quickly, so we suggest to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Times available are 6.00pm -6.15pm (6:30pm already sold out within minutes from the announcement of the dinner and we do not require the table back for the night) and 8.00pm, 8.15pm. 8.30pm. We will try our best to cater for dietaries although we might not be able to satisfy every request."
