Zhang Chef Restaurant

New to Pitt Street, Korean Chinese fusion at Zhang Chef Restaurant delights with all sorts of dishes.

From the 2019 opening, dishes start at $9 for the sweet treat Golden Buns with Condensed Milk, but most dishes are around $14 to $16. Share plates like Black Bean Noodles with Cooked Egg, and Seafood Stir Fried Soy Noodles. We added an egg to our choice of Fried Rice with Black Bean Sauce.

There are loads of dumpling choices seven pieces per portion, steamed, boiled and fried.

And we are going back for some of the upper class options - the plate of Stir Fried Bell Peppers and Shredded Pork and Steamed Buns (yeup all one dish $36) caught our eye, but we haven't had a chance to try it yet. Check that yet, 'cause we are going back as soon as we can.

Also looking good, there's Battered Prawns on Chilli Sauce ($32), Sauteed Black Pepper Beef ($26), Mild Crispy Garlic Chicken ($26) just to share a few.

Well when we say share, you can take friends and do that, our you can be greedy with the goodness, and eat it all by yourself. You choose.

Delightful refreshing iced tea, and accompaniments of soup, pickles and kimchi, are served with all meals.

Zhang Chef Restaurant serves lunch through to dinner. Excellent service. Immaculately clean. Enormously tasty. The menu has English subtitles. Chef Sam Zhang is on premises leading the kitchen team.
