Hungry after a George Street movie preview, Korean BBQ seemed the go. Danjee offers smiling and attentive service and for the Korean food novice a somewhat overwhelming menu. Never mind, with patience and slow questioning, even the Korean restaurant newbie can devour something delicious. That's easy, because everything on the menu is fresh and tasty and generous.

Be warned: the deep fried seawood snacks are addictive.

Of course the sizzling hot stone of Dol Sot bi bim bap is a Korean must try. And (Naeng myun) Sweet potato noodles are a house specialty. Starters and share plates are all good. Try (So ggo ri jjim) Slow cooked beef tail, gingko nuts, dried dates, soy stock.

Eating with our hands is such a sensual way to enjoy food. So for your first visit, at least, don't go past the lettuce leave (ssam) wraps of the BBQ menu. Soy marinated pork and duck are highly recommended.

While there is a good range of wines on offer, somehow OB beer and soju chasers seem the right fit! Well not quite chasers, sip the sexy soju, slowly ...

On most occasions, the restaurant is filled with Koreans chowing down. Which has to be a very good sign.
