Currently on stage in London to rave reviews at the Old Vic Theatre, this film is the opportunity to see this National Theatre Production of Rosencrantz a& Guildenstern Are Dead in Sydney.

Against the backdrop of Hamlet, two hapless minor characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, take centre stage. As the young double act stumble their way in and out of the action of Shakespeare’s iconic drama, they become increasingly out of their depth as their version of the story unfolds.

The film by Tom Stoppard, directed by David Leveaux was captured in HD and is screening in over 2,500 cinemas in 60 countries including Australia. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, The Woman in Black), Joshua McGuire (The Hour) and David Haig (Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Witness for the Prosecution) star in Tom Stoppard’s brilliantly funny situation comedy. This new production marks the 50th anniversary of the play that made a young Tom Stoppard’s name overnight.

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is distributed in Australia by Sharmill Films, leading distributor of alternate content, with an incomparable record of bringing sublime cinema to Australia, including ‘event cinema’ seasons of England's National Theatre Live. In cinemas in Australia nationally from June 24th.
