Rojdar’s Pre-Tour Tunes

With only one single under his belt before his latest release, 22-year-old Melbourne DJ and producer Rojdar is heading on a huge twenty-date tour for his sophomore single, Freakin’ Wasted, with even more shows to be announced.

Following the commercial success of his debut single Ignition, which debuted in the top 10 on the iTunes Dance chart, Rojdar has quickly established himself as a DJ that sure knows how to make a catchy dance track (which you can listen to here).

But before crowds across the country get Freakin’ Wasted to Rojdar’s lively and vibrant DJ sets, the man himself gave Sydney Scoop a playlist of 10 songs that made him fall in love with dance music. See his track-by-track rundown and tour dates below and listen to the playlist above:

Florence + The Machine (Calvin Harris Remix) - “Spectrum”

Just an all round tune.

Tim Berg/Avicii - “Seek Bromance”

Still to this day sends chills down my spine when I hear this. A record like nothing else, also happened to be the record that put Avicii on the map.

Ivan Gough, Feenixpawl ft Georgi Kay (Axwell Remix) - “In My Mind”

In the early days of the EDM I remember this record getting released & only thinking how insane it was. I later found out that Ivan & Feenixpawl were both Australian Dj/producers & that really motivated to give music production a crack.

Swedish House Mafia & John Martin - “Dont You Worry Child”

Till this day, I still thing this is the best dance song ever made. It was all over radio the summer it was launched & really paved the way for more dance music to be played on commercial radio.

Steve Aoki & The Bloody Beetroots - “Warp 1.9

1, 2 Whoop Whoop! Every house party growing up this record was the peak of the night. There wouldn’t of been a soul in my high school that didn’t know this banger.

Daft Punk - “One More Time”

One More Time was the first dance record I remember hearing and I instantly fell in love. It was like nothing I’ve heard before & just wanted to make me dance.

Avicii - “Levels

By far the catchiest dance record ever made. I remember when the record came out, I was sitting on the back of a bus coming from school & my friend showed me & I was like wow!!

Adrian Lux - “Teenage Crime”

Was the biggest song in the summer of 2010. Was also the last song played at my 14th birthday. #thelittlethings

Martin Solveig & Dragonette - “Hello

My first underage festival I went to this was the unofficial anthem. I’m not lying when I say every DJ played this record in their set & it went off more every time. What a banger!

Swedish House Mafia - “Save The World”

Another classic by the SHM boys! Super catchy hook & chords that hit you right in the feels. Can’t wait till Swedish House Mafia come to Australia again.
