Choosing to eat as vegan or even vegetarian can be inspired from many motivations, which can be spiritual, ethical or just because it's gentler on the planet. In our search for the five best vegan and vegetarian eateries in Sydney we asked our expert, herself a vegetarian. So Lauren Thomas joins us with her recommendations for these five Sydney v special places.

Earth To Table

If you’re after a trendy and buzzing destination for your next outing, then look no further then Yullis in Surry Hills.

Yullis provides a mix of Asian and European inspired dishes from San choy bow with five spice tofu, mushrooms, noodles, peanuts and coriander to their Gnocchi boscaiola with enoki, there are plenty of delicious menu items that will delight your taste buds.

If you have a sweet tooth, you can’t go past the Sticky date and banana pudding with salted caramel sauce for dessert.

Celebrating a special occasion? Yulli’s offers a three banquet options at a cool price of only $40 a head where you can choose from the Gluten free, Vegetarian or Vegan options.

The Plant Gallery

One of the newest Raw Vegan Eateries in Sydney, this restaurant is not one to be missed. Nestled right in the heart of Bondi, the Plant Gallery offers a wonderful selection of raw vegan cuisine for both lunch and dinner.

Offering a wide range of menu options that are gluten, dairy and sugar free, this is a great restaurant to visit when you’re after something that is highly nutritious and delicious.

Menu items include green curry with marinated vegetables and zucchini noodles and their nachos with bean sprout tomato salsa, cashew cheese and guacamole.

Fancy a healthier version of your Italian favorites? Why not try their Sweet onion pizza with nut cheese, olives and sweet corn? Perhaps their Golden zucchini spaghetti with cashew and yellow chilli sauce is more to your liking
