Looking to learn something new? Heck it's a terrific way to keep busy, challenge yourself, and expand. We found this fabulous five to help you grow.

1. THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF THINGS INTENSIVE

The Photography of Things is a new course at the Australian Centre For Photography testing the boundaries of still life photography. Tutor Simone Rosenbauer challenges students to experiment with object-centred photography by developing your own visual language.

2. THE SCIENCE OF TAO CREATION AND MANIFESTATION POWER

Would you like to know how everything is created at a deep unified scientific, philosophic, and spiritual level? Visiting international Quantum Physicist Dr. Rulin Xiu will explain how to embrace and use your higher powers for creation and manifestation.

3. THREE ENGLISH MUSIC CITIES

The onset of Beatlemania in the 1960s, put London and Liverpool on the map as iconic rock music cities. In the same decade, Manchester made its mark with the emergence of the Hollies and Herman’s Hermits. Punk, new wave, Madchester and ‘Britpop’ saw all three cities consolidate their reputations as dynamic creative hubs. In this course we will discuss the music heritage of each city and track down the locations where it all happened. From Carnaby Street and Abbey Road to Salford Lads’s Club and the Cavern this will be a magical mystery tour.

4. MEDITERRANEAN SEAFOOD BARBECUE

Learn some simple seafood barbecue dishes full of the sunny flavours of the Mediterranean and sure to impress family and friends. By the end of this hands-on dinner class at Sydney Seafood School you’ll be able to barbecue seafood perfectly. Finish with a delicious seafood meal … and another glass of wine, of course!

5. ALTER EGO ~ AN IMPERFECT WORKSHOP FOR THE CREATIVELY CURIOUS

Alter Ego is fancy Latin for The Other I. The you that’s somewhere beneath the surface. Join this brand new printmaking workshop and create a portrait of your Other I. Loosen up with fast, intuitive drawing; get into flow printing with cut paper stencils, and from the midst of creative play, produce a portrait that’s better than any selfie you’ve ever snapped.

Classes can be better than dating, we reckon. But who knows? Move over tinder. If you're single, you might even meet someone fabulously like-minded along the way.
