Jet City Sports Club Five Favourite Live Music Venues

Jet City Sports Club are fresh local Sydney indie-pop voices with influences of 90s guitar music, pop and Aussie indie. We love their signature Sydney sound and with the release of new single Green Thumb and its upcoming single launch, we caught up with the four piece band to find out about their favourite local Sydney live music venues.

Oxford Art Factory
We’ve been so lucky to play the main room a few times supporting some lovely people from around the country, and have made such good memories seeing gigs there too. The staff are all legends and create a real warm vibe, which is especially nice when you’re the opening band on a bill with huge acts haha.

Waywards
Waywards in Newtown is where we cut our teeth with live shows, we learnt a lot about good sound and not so good sound. It’s booked by the amazing team at Music and Booze co, who have always been big supporters of us so we love that gang.

The Vic on the Park
Best spot to catch free live music, knowing you’ll always have a good time because the lineups are always mad. Heaps of people around on weekends so if you’re a new band it’s a cool place to get some followers.

Paddo RSL
Pretty rogue choice here as most of our Sydney shows do exist in that illustrious inner west bubble but the Paddo RSL is a super cool room which could be a really good spot for bands wanting to transition from smaller rooms to bigger rooms but want to try the middle ground first. There’s not enough of that in Sydney.

Enmore Theatre
I think we can all agree this is a dream venue for us to play. It’s big, it’s beautiful and the sound is fantastic. We’ve seen some of our favourite acts there from Spacey Jane to Stormzy. What a venue!
