Music Nights at The Little Guy

Warm up this winter with live music nights at Glebe's friendly neighbourhood favourite, The Little Guy.

A short stroll down Glebe Point road brings you to the door, where you're likely to find a couple of happy inner west drinkers perched at a bench by the window enjoying a bevvie or few in the fresh air. Inside, there's a greeting with a smile from behind the bar, and a complementary bowl of spiced popcorn which is sometimes dished up so fast you haven't even ordered a drink yet.

Thursday nights feature three different local singer-songwriters each performing a set throughout the night. Take that tasty popcorn, add one of the weekly cocktail specials, a pint of whatever is on the rotating middle tap, or a tasty drop from their decent wine list, and take yourself through to one of the comfy rooms out back to settle in for some tunes.

You'll find more more music on Sundays, with different bands featured each week - check their Facebook page for this week's artist and times or just try your luck and show up. There's discount spirits and $10 bloody marys to enjoy while you're listening, too.

There's also trivia on Mondays, and the newly launched Margarita Tuesdays, with $10 margaritas and margheritas.

They tell me they're a pretty popular venue in winter, and it's easy to see why - a cozy little bar with good drinks, friendly service and some live tunes. The rooms at the back are perfect for groups small or large and nicely warmed for winter. Nab a comfy couch and have your takeaway delivered (seriously!) and it might just start to feel a bit like home. No wonder they have such a loyal following.
