A fixture in Sydney’s music and dance scene for close to a decade, The Star’s iconic Marquee is reopening this weekend after an extensive refurbishment and refresh.

Featuring a killer lineup of international artists, DJs and exclusive residencies including Timmy Trumpet, MaRLo, Tigerlily and Havana Brown, Marquee is not holding back—and is set to be the hottest destination to see the biggest artists perform in the country. Think nightlife. Reimagined.

This Saturday 4 December marks the music venue’s official Grand Reopening, with internationally acclaimed Australian rapper, Masked Wolf taking the stage as the headline act. With five Aria Award nominations under his belt and adored globally for his hit song Astronaut in the Ocean (which ignited 17.5 million-plus TikTok videos), Masked Wolf will also be performing throughout 2022 at Marquee, saying:

“Marquee is a household name across the world and it’s an honour to be headlining multiple dates in such a prestigious venue.”

An exciting line-up of headline acts over Sydney summer includes the likes of Timmy Trumpet, MaRLo, Tigerlily, Havana Brown and Masked Wolf. The amazing acts don’t stop there, with a roster of impressive artists performing throughout December and January including NERVO, Playhouse ft. 15grams, Example, Stafford Brothers, Timmy Trumpet and MaRLo. Marquee will deliver a special Christmas Day performance by Youngn Lipz and Will Sparks and Havana Brown headlining an epic New Year’s Eve party.

Further ahead, MaRLo, Timmy Trumpet, Will Sparks, Havana Brown, Tigerlily, Masked Wolf, Stafford Brothers, Joel Fletcher and Youngn Lip are secured for all have exclusive Sydney club residencies at Marquee for 2022.

In addition to signing on new headline acts, Marquee has also undergone a significant refurbishment. Guests can expect a new state-of-the-art L'Acoustics sound system, the first of its kind in a major club venue in Australia, a redesigned DJ booth that will bring the artists even closer to the fans, two new ‘super VIP tables’ either side of the DJ booth, lighting and production upgrades across the venue, as well as acoustic treatment in the Main Room which will enhance the audio experience at Marquee.
