Experience a smorgasbord of science events across Sydney from 13-23 August 2015!

The Sydney Science Festival has been developed to consolidate and amplify the promotion of National Science Week events across Sydney.  

Coordinated by Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS),this year's program features events such as

- Sydney Mini Maker Faire: A family-friendly program of stalls and talks showcasing Sydney’s most innovative makers.)

- An evening with venomologist Professor Bryan Grieg Fry: He will focus on his breakthrough research into many different types of venom and their potential for use in drug development.

- An evening with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki: talking all things human body, looking at the strange and wonderful things that can go wrong and how we try to remedy them. 

- An evening with famed astronaut Dr Chris Hadfield: Hear Chris Hadfield’s views on the earth, climate, humankind and exploration itself.

- An evening with American astrophysicist Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson: Dr Tyson is bringing his Ship of the Imagination to Australian audiences, on a mission to progress critical thinking and the importance of science in our modern-day landscapes
