Iconic footwear brand, Hush Puppies is excited to announce their role a Supporting Partner and Official Sponsor of Doggywood at Fair Day, for the 2019 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
To celebrate the partnership, the Australian Hush Puppies team have created a unique, limited edition design that is set to be the official shoe of Mardi Gras. The casual unisex sneaker pays homage to the Pride flag with glittery rainbow stripes featured in the design along with Hush Puppies signature comfort technology. To further support the LGBTQI community, Hush Puppies will be donating 50% of profits from rainbow show sales to the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras community grants programs which offers financial support to LGBTQI community organisations.
Hush Puppies will be making an inaugural road trip from Melbourne to Sydney ahead of the parade. Creating their very own Priscilla Queen of the Dessert moment, the truck will feature a giant Bassett Hound whose ears will flap in the wind as it sits inside of the new Mardi Gras shoe on the roof.
Scheduled to stop in Shepparton, Wagga Wagga and Goulburn the team will be popping up activations in each location, complete with a photobooth and games where they’ll be giving away a truckload of prizes to be won.
