The Meaning Of Love

“If you find me not within you, you will never find me. For I have been with you, from the beginning of me.” – Rumi

Have you been in the presence of a love so pure, so profound, so unconditional that just by being in its mere presence you are forever changed? Have you ever known a love without beginning or ending, eternal and true? All of my life I yearned for such a love, to feel a love that surpasses the human experience, a love without conditions, restrictions and binds. I longed for a love that uplifts the entire experience of loving and living from this realm into the divine.

So, I looked for this love everywhere, searching with all of my heart and soul, and after many years of seeking I found it. This pure love has always been within me. It is what defines me, you and everyone.

Love melts all blockages – Master Sha

I have loved and been loved very deeply in this lifetime, and for this blessing I cannot be grateful enough. As a daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend and in many other roles in my life, I have found deep meaning through the love of those around me. With deep love comes grace and respect, and honor, wonderment and joy in relationships. With each loving relationship, a part of your heart is nourished, renewed, filled with light and hope and so much more.

As a mother, I have experienced the healing power in the sweetness of my child’s love. My children have nourished my heart and soul so deeply for years. Their deep wisdom and wonderment has enriched my life. As a daughter and a sister, I have grown to understand the depth of love and compassion we can hold in our human hearts. In every relationship, we have in our lives we learn more deeply about the nature of love. However, as I have learned, and you will too, no matter how deeply someone loves us, their love cannot enable us to love ourselves. We need to learn to love ourselves unconditionally with the deepest compassion, joy and genuine abandon.

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi

I often wonder why we have barriers against something every single human being on this planet is desperately seeking? We grow up believing in love, in the power of love to truly transform our lives, and in love’s ability to heal the deep wounds of our hearts. Throughout the ages, poets have spoken of a love so great and magnificent when found it is the pinnacle of our life journey. There are books, films and cultural nuances that lead us to believe that if only we found that one person, our one true love, we will find the purpose and meaning of our lives. This one true love will fulfill our every need, heal every ache, satisfy every emotional craving and transform us into happy, contented, completed, and fulfilled beings forever. Our society conditions us to believe that there is someone out there who can make us truly and completely divinely happy. Who is this savior? Where is this one true love? And even when we find someone absolutely magical, someone who is loving, generous, kind and beautiful to us in every way, can they completely, truly fill every void in our hearts?

These barriers to love that Rumi speaks of, could these be the mindsets, attitudes, and beliefs we have long held about love? Could these barriers be our judgements and projections of what love should be?

Could it be that our understanding and expectation of love as being this narrow, finite feeling that exists only between two individuals or a group of individuals (a family) is the barrier blocking us from seeing the infinite magnificence of an ever-flowing, ever-evolving, all-embracing love?

For me love is like water, always flowing, finding its path. Regardless of the obstacles in its journey, water will always find a way to flow around it. Water holds everything without judgment. Water cleanses everything without thought of itself, water doesn’t say I will become dirty if I clean you. Pure love is such. Water quenches everyone’s thirst, nourishes all nature, animals and human beings, empowers growth and prolongs life. Water just flows, without conditions, restrictions and restraints.

Such a love exists within each of us. All of us have the capacity to love unconditionally, deeply, truly and purely. Each of us has the freedom to love without conditions, keeping the love pure -oh so pure- that by its mere presence another is healed and transformed in their heart and soul beyond words.

How long has each of us ached for such a love without judgement, a love so pure that it is the only food and drink the soul needs to be nourished, to grow and expand and to heal the world? All of us are like the great saints and poets who sought the divine, the divinity and the divineness in all beings. Each of us is the carrier of this purest love. It is time to exercise the muscles of the heart. The heart has not exercised its love muscles fully. It is time to allow ourselves to love fully.

“Why are you knocking at every other door? Go knock at the door of your own heart.” - Rumi

This sacred pure love, effervescent and gently burning from the beginning of time, this pure love that carries us through the darkest night of the soul, this pure love that inspires poetry in historical classics, this love is you, is me, is all of us. Celebrate this love. Celebrate yourself.

Inhale this love deeply from the universe, see it completely for what it is, taste it, feel it, know it, hear it, experience it with all of your senses. This purest of pure loves is YOU, is ME, is all Humanity.

I love my heart and soul. I love all humanity – Master Sha.

Once I discovered the love I had been seeking was within me, I needed a way to keep this connection alive, to keep this discovery alive in my heart and soul. Discovering myself has been a process. Every day I am able to peel away layers and layers of separation within myself. Every day I align myself with this simple but powerful Say Hello Formula. Try this every morning when you awaken and every night before your sleep. Sit up straight in your bed, close your eyes and smile.

Greatest Love purifies the heart and soul – Master Sha

As I opened my heart more and more deeply to love, I found my place in the universe. Everything in my life drew me to oneness, to the reality of my deepest love for humanity. Each of us has a deep love for humanity. We have loved each other so much, so very much for all time. We have brought our hearts to each other and become one melding ever so gently and yet so firmly. We cannot be separated through time and space and reincarnations or any limitations of this three-dimensional world. We are ONE. We are LOVE. I am yours forever as you are mine. An open love letter to your heart from mine.

“I am yours. Don’t give myself back to me.” - Rumi
