Christmas is definitely a time to be classy and elegant with your nearest and dearest. Here at Sydney Scoop we can think of no better way of celebrating the festive season than a Christmas High Tea soiree. So, we've selected five of the best currently open for booking this festive season. Ho ho ho, what are you waiting for? Go and be elegantly merry this yuletide season.

Elegant five star Langham Hotel Sydney Christmas afternoon tea stands served on Wedgwood crockery and set in The Harbour Room within the Hotel's dining space, Kitchens on Kent.

Expect luxury and tradition as the event is inspired by The Langham, London, the so called birthplace of the traditional afternoon tea.

The menu will be focusing on Christmas sweet treats, modern British inspired delicacies, warm scones and finger sandwiches. Highlights include cured Hiramasa kingfish and edamame tart with wasabi aioli, chicken and leek pie with onion jam, Huon smoked salmon and watercress with cream cheese on wholemeal bread, Christmas pudding with brandy and butterscotch cream flavoured macarons, and of course the Langham cranberry scones with home made jam and cream. This is just a sample of the delights in store.

Sparkling, champagne and cocktails can be chosen as an accompaniment or you may wish to choose tea.
