As most of our readers would know, Bondi's Panama House has very much gained favour with Sydney with its bottomless brunches and its Central American styled menu. There is more to Panama House though than a boozy brunch. An example of this is the venue's decision to embrace, in association with Canadian Club Whiskey, the Sydney apres ski set.

From the 10th to 28th of July, Sydney-siders can step into Panama 'Snow' House to enjoy a winter wonderland bar and dining theme. There is no doubt that punters will see the sense in this winter revelry at Panama House as it goes hand in hand with Waverley Council's Winter Magic experience that is going on across the road at Bondi Beach.

Once you're done with twirling round the ice rink or soaring to great heights on the colourfully and brightly illuminated Ferris Wheel, you can indulge in some quieter activities at Panama 'Snow' House. These could include sipping on a soothing hot toddy or a glass of deliciously spiced mulled wine while munching on comfort food such as char-grilled corn cobs, lobster mac 'n' cheese or portobello mushroom tacos.

Sydney Scoop was there to enjoy such winter delights at the launch of Panama 'Snow' House. We tend to enjoy the art of hibernating in a bar during winter, and so it was a no brainer to attend. They had us at mulled wine to tell the truth. To back the drinks menu up with hot toddies and old fashioneds, meant that our Après Ski hankering was well and truly pandered to. The warm hospitality from the wait and bar staff were greatly appreciated too. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

It is safe to say that the mulled wine on offer at Panama 'Snow' House is one of the best going in Sydney right now. If you are also a fan, you will revel in the magically warmed red wine, orange, cassis and all spice concoction. Follow it up with a Canadian Club, house-spiced tea syrup, orange, lemon, cinnamon, and clove hot toddy or a Canadian Club 12 year, bitters, orange and sugar Old Fashioned and we are sure like us at Sydney Scoop, Panama 'Snow' House will become your favourite nightly winter hideaway.

You may also like to book yourself into a Whi-Ski Dinner with Canadian Club and Dan Woolley on 18 July 2019. Dan is the National Whiskey Ambassador for Bean Suntory. He will take you on a snow bound tour of North American whiskey at this 5 course food and wine pairing dinner.

For Christmas in July fans, head along to Panama House on 28 July for a special edition of its Sunday Supper Club. Diners can expect roasted turkey with all the trimmings and wine specials. Roast $30 per head + beverages << we want!
