Bottomless brunch is the best way to while away your weekend. Now that we have to head back into the office Monday to Friday, we deserve a best breakfast, brunch and booze!

And working up an appetite with a walk on the beach is a top way to meander through Saturday or Sunday.

Sydney the answer to both is right under our barefoot feet at Bondi Beach.

Rocker - Darren Robertson’s Bondi restaurant has just launched its new bottomless brunch menu. To formally kick off the menu, Rocker hosted a launch event with guests including Melissa Hoyer, Suzan Mutesi, Nathan Tito, Ali Blakey, Zoe Bingley-Pullin, Simon Leong plus our own Sydney Scoop editor Rebecca Varidel. Gifts were supplied by The Cocktail Porter, which is owned by Rocker’s Cameron Northway. Bottomless mimosas were my brunch tipple of choice for a bright sunny Sydney summer and my neighbouring guests sipped Gardet Champagne. And the food, was for lingering.

“Our new bottomless brunch menu works in the same way as any other menu at Rocker; good quality and ethically sourced products, treated with respect and presented beautifully” Head Chef and Co-owner, Stuart Toon explained about the new menu.

To Start…

Mount Zero olives
Iggy’s sourdough & roast onion butter
Burrata, heirloom tomatoes & basil
Prosciutto & Sydney rock melon

Mains to share…

Free range roast chicken, truffled parsnip puree, asparagus, beans, peas & jus
Spiced roast pumpkin, fermented almond cream, apple & soft herb salad
Summer green salad
Rocker fried potatoes & salsa verde

To finish…

Summer pavlova, berries, passionfruit & lemon curd

Reading simply the traditional menu is one you can trust.  The quality and ethically sourced produce treated with skill and care shines through. Although it's hard to pick a highlight, the roast chicken which is brined in herbs and spices and brown sugar, sublty lifting complexity of flavours. The chook is very very juicy, maybe it's the juiciest roast chicken you have ever enjoyed. It was the best for me. Old school prosciutto and local rockmelon was a treat. Yet that superb Aussie classic finish of a perfectly crafted and finished pav makes the finish game strong. Go the Aussie (not NZ) dessert!

Rocker Bottomless Brunch is available for a minimum of 2 people, Thursday and Friday noon to 3pm for those that want to skip work early, Saturday 11am to 3pm and Sunday 11am to 1pm.
