The largest food trade show in the country for foodservice, hospitality, retail and bakery came to the International Convention Centre in Sydney last week in a huge display of culinary expertise, breakthrough technology and of course very, very fine food.

Go big or go home and that is exactly what Fine Food Australia Event Director and food industry veteran, Minnie Constan and her team have strived for in 2019. Mark your calendar for 2020 if you are serious about food.

“Being the largest food trade show in the Southern Hemisphere and showcasing thousands of products really keep us on our toes,” said Minnie.

“We strive to make every year better, keep ahead of trends and cover every aspect of food service which is why over 23,000 trade professionals flock to the event from all over Australia and around the world,” she said.

Visitors can get lost amongst the many exhibitors stores which hail from all over the world with products including confectionery from Japan (Japan Tacom) to madelines from France (St Michel Biscuits). Your taste buds will be taken on a global adventure.

The Fine Food team also brought a great itinerary of events including a pie and sausage roll Competition which pays homage to Aussie's much-loved icons, a live and immersive kitchen where you can pick up tips and tricks and a chat about the latest national and international food trends rocking the industry. There is truly something for everyone, even if you are just there for the gelato samples.

The fine food show displayed an exciting array of inventive food products often with a sustainability focus including baked and seasoned coconut flakes that tastes like bacon and lemonade brewed lovingly and naturally with pea blossom flowers. The experimentation of different ingredients and techniques showcases the individual flair of these creative exhibitors who want to get their big idea out to the world.
