This Handbuilding Ceramics Workshop is being held right in the heart of Bondi Beach at Will & Co’s HQ and hosted by Splendid Wren will give a unique introduction to working with stoneware clay, and particularly the techniques for making pinch pots.
Catherine from Splendid Wren Ceramics will guide participants through making two pieces of your choice such as a coffee cup, bowl, vase or small planter. The first pot allows participants to get a feel for the clay - pinching and shaping it and then, once they are feeling more confident, the second piece will be from a slightly larger ball of clay.
The session is priced at $130 per person and includes Will & Co coffee on arrival, tuition as participants create their work, one kg of stoneware clay per person and the glazing and firing of the work made from that clay. All materials will be provided – the clay, the tools and examples of shapes.
Work will be available for collection from Will & Co. a few weeks after the workshop.
