Marriott International has five Sydney city properties - Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay, The Westin Sydney, Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park, Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park, and Pier One Sydney Harbour, Autograph Collection (with a new sixth hotel soon to be revealed). And in theme with the coveted annual Diner en Blanc special event, the Marriott chefs and bartenders across these hotels have launched their own white on white 2018 cocktail and dining series.

The new Diner en Blanc cocktails will be available at Sydney hotels until 26 January, 2019 and are designed to invoke thoughts of springtime picnics in the French countryside. Each hotel has its own guest Diner en Blanc cocktail, incorporating a signature French infusion of flavours like Lillet Blanc, Cointreau or St. Germain Elderflower eau-de-vie.

Marriott International’s all-white dining menu joins the cocktail menu for a limited period, and will be available across the city until November 30.

For the chance to win a coveted ticket to Diner en Blanc, fully hosted and catered for by Marriott International guests are invited to share their favourite Diner en Blanc cocktail or dish with the hashtag #Marriott between from now until October 30.

Diner en Blanc has become a cultural icon since its inception thirty years ago in Paris when founder François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant picnic, asking them to dress in white. Since that first dinner, the event has grown to more than 70 cities worldwide.

Participation in the Diner en Blanc event is either by personal referral or waitlist invitation only, and its exclusivity draws crowds of some 20,000 in Sydney each year. The event location changes annually, and is a closely guarded secret, to be revealed only as attendees in white descend for the city’s most anticipated and stylish popup picnic.

"We are absolutely delighted to announce that Marriott International is the official 2018 hotel partner for Diner en Blanc in Sydney, and thrilled to present a new menu in celebration of, and inspired by, the event’s French culture and striking white aesthetic,” said Florencia Aimo, Area Director of Marketing, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific, Marriott International.
