We know you like to party, so we thought you'd want the latest juice. Wayne’s World is coming to town when pop up bar Whisky Jerx opens this week in Sydney.
Ex-squeeze me? Baking powder?!
Our good friends, popular award winning bartenders Ben Blair, Reece Griffiths and Lee Potter Cavanagh won a nation-wide competition with their pitch, a bar inspired by the fun rock aesthetic of Wayne’s World. Congratulations lads!
The boys have all won many awards in their own right both in Australia and internationally for their bars and drinks, so with their skills combined it shall be raucous.
Expect a fast, loud and fun night out - think crafted sodas served unpretentiously, tinnies of delicious beer and banging cocktails at a decent price, perhaps a little Bohemiam Rhapsody until the wee hours.
Yep there's live, with Whisky Jerx calling on local acts to come and rock out as much hair metal and Alice Cooper as they can fit in! We’re not worthy!
"We wanted to bring the fun and cheek back to Sydney" Ben Blair said after winning the Monkey Shoulder competition. "Sydney-siders will never have the same Whisky Jerx experience twice."
The Whisky Jerx popup bar will be open in the basement of The Unicorn Paddington from 25th February until April 19th 4pm - midnight Wednesday - Sunday, with the party continuing upstairs until 3am! The venue is out of the lockout zone, so you can party on.
