"I was stuck in the Ticketek queue for the Fred Again pop-up show at the Sydney Opera House, and it was super frustrating. I knew there were probably thousands of other Australians feeling the exact same thing as well which I found very compelling. I called the Opera House as a last-ditch attempt for tickets, and I recorded the call into Ableton. I thought crafting it into a song would be a cheeky way to share it with people. I made a video about the song, and it reached the thousands of Aussies I was talking about — it was super exciting to see all these people connect over a shared moment, and I was stoked to be the catalyst. I messaged my Adelaide friend Stellie and together we wrote some words around the idea of being ‘too late’” Boone.
