Crowned musos of the Inner West and legendary beer lords, Young Henrys, are kicking off the music offering for Australia’s biggest ever music, screen games and technology conference and festival with their famed Rock & Roll Circus. As the official Music Festival Major Sponsor of SXSW Sydney® 2023, the Newtown brewers and distillers will be gracing the outdoor stage of Tumbalong Park on Wednesday 18 October where their Rock & Roll Circus is set to be its biggest iteration yet. With a string of Australian and international darlings singing their hearts out to some of the nation’s favourite rock & roll classics, this is certainly not an event to be missed off your social calendar.

This year’s Rock & Roll Circus is another exciting chapter in the partnership between these two cultural institutions - one new to Sydney, the other at the core of its community. Kicking off with the release of limited-edition, re-skinned Newtowners for the festival, Young Henrys and SXSW Sydney® are dedicated to serving Sydney’s culture creators, artists, musos, hospitality lifers and local legends, with plenty more magic moments in store.

Featuring an all-star line-up, Young Henrys’ mates Dan Sultan, Wallice (US), Ben Marwe (Bad Dreems), Hayley Mary, Tyne-James Organ, Emmy Mack (RedHook), Jamie Timony (These New South Whales), Zoe Catterall (The Buoys), Zeppelin Hamilton (Velvet Trip), Annie Hamilton and Dante Knows will ignite the stage alongside the YH House Band featuring members of The Preatures, The Delta Riggs, and True Vibenation. Capped off with this year’s host and all-round top bloke Fitzy, Rock & Roll Circus will be bigger and better than ever before!

“Young Henrys Rock & Roll Circus is a musical event we have been throwing for nearly 7 years now. It sees our various friends from all manners of the musical realm coming together to collaborate and have fun on a communal stage. We are so proud to be able to bring this awesome celebration of music and mates to the very first SXSW Sydney and for the crowds of Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour to be treated to a stellar line-up of national and international guests, enjoying the expression of music together” exclaims Oscar McMahon, Young Henrys Co-Founder/Director.

What better way to celebrate the best of Aussie rock than with the warm hospitality of the Young Henrys crew and SXSW Sydney initiators? Look no further, your mates at Young Henrys will be taking up residence at Tumbalong Park during the week-long festival, quenching the thirst of culture seekers from October 15 - October 22, ensuring the cold ones are cracked and the good times keep flowing. As the official beer, cider and ginger beer sponsors of SXSW Sydney® 2023, you can expect nothing but frothy golden goodness from the local neck of the woods.

In true SXSW® spirit, Young Henrys will also be announcing a handful of surprise guests to join the line-up in the days leading up to the show, so be sure to keep an eye on their Instagram for all the latest announcements! Cementing themselves as integral champions of the local music scene since pouring their first brew back in 2012, Young Henrys are proud to continue their longstanding commitment to supporting the communities of the Australian music scene, beer enthusiasts and the arts. Remaining as an independent brewery and distillery throughout, Young Henrys’ partnership with SXSW Sydney further solidifies their commitment to foster Australia’s far-reaching talent pool, raising a glass to the brilliant musos that fuel our beloved live music scene.

If you’re a fan of good drinks, good music, and good times, this is an event you can’t miss. Round up the crew and head to the Young Henrys Facebook page here to RSVP.
